Long Beach

Well let me just say Long Beach in Los Angeles County California was a very interesting experience both times I've been there. There is a little peninsula that is connected to the main strip in Downtown Long Beach that has a couple gyms as well as multiple Poke stops. The three Poke stops near the food court at the beginning of the peninsula are always lit with lures, as well as there being a lot of seating for people to relax and feed off the drawn in Pokemon by the lures to collect countless amounts of stardust.

One key point to mention about Long Beach: It is perfect for upcoming Pokemon Go events that Niantic will host for PoGo players.

Both times I have been to Long Beach Pokemon Go hunting grounds it was very active with players as well as a lot of lures going off. There were plenty of pokemon spawning around that kept me busy catching, but there was never anything special that popped up it was a lot of your regulars being spawned.

Long Beach did have a very nice loop to walk around and continually capture pokemon while hitting Poke Stops. It also seemed that the Poke Stops there payed out more than any other Poke Stop I have seen, every stop as I made my rounds continually gave me 6+ items at each and at some times it kepts my bag full, I never had to do a Poke Ball run while I was there for hours.

I would recommend you to bring your bike or other mobile ride like such and you could get even more out of your experience there. If I had a bike or roller blades I could have gotten a lot more out of the experience, from the end of the pennisula to the other side of the water near the boat launching area it was a bit far to walk back and forth but I could have killed it with a bike, hatching eggs and collecting candies.

At the end of the peninsula of Long Beach there were consistant spawning of Pokemon. This was the loop I was walking, everytime I got down here it was a pretty decent and heavy Pokemon spawn. The gym was also actively being attacked and changing owners all night.

These three Poke Stops were consitantly lit with lures all night, Pokemon were spawning heavily all night in this area. There was lots of seating that people were hanging out at and feeding off the spawns all night. As it kind of defeats the purpose of Niantic Pokemon Go to just sit there and collect it can be done, its even a good break area for when you need that rest after walking for hours.

It had a little food court that wasn't open when I was there, but I imagine during the day its a pretty popular for Pokemon hunters not having to leave for any reason, Long Beach makes a great place to plan a long extended Pokemon hunting area for if you are traveling far to have a multy day event.

I have some friends that live in Arizona that have traveled here and multiple other places in California just to fufill their Pokemon Go hunting needs. You can do the same and have a wonderful time going somewhere like Long Beach.

I walked down here a snap shot to show the distance in walking, however I did not need to make this trip while I was just walking. It is a good round trip to make if you have some kind of a bike or something, however it is not needed to make this trip if your out there to catch and make distance in walking.
